Photography

I began photography almost 30 years ago under the guidance of my
father. I learned black and white darkroom and lab technique and
bought my first Nikon. After ten years of the typical vacation images
and friends, I became enamoured with impressionistic pictorialism and
Cibachrome. I still study that form of photography and feature my
work at www.lensart.com, but now use a Nikon D1x digital camera. My
commercial site can be found at www.lensart.se. I am extremely
comfortable and confident working with models, both experienced and
novice, having photographed people professionally for 20 years.

Music

I taught myself to play the guitar when I was fourteen. That started
an appreciation of sound and music that has carried through
adulthood. I put myself through a degree in electrical engineering at
the University of Texas in Austin by playing in bands, making effects
devices for other musicians and running sound re-enforcement systems.
After graduation, I used the money I made in engineering to purchase
a 24-track recording studio and earned part of my living in sound
recording. From the time I picked up a guitar I began to write music,
and still do today. Here are a few examples of my music. "We Will Not
Forget" was written to earn money for the investigation into the
murder of four teenaged girls in Austin, Texas. It featured a very
large choir, and was later re-recorded by well known musicians in the
area. The culprits have now been brought to justice. "Head On", a pop
rock tune, was entered in the 2002 Eurovision song contest.
"Hollywood" was written as an demonstration of pop mixed with a
hip-hop rap borrowed from Ja Rule. "Island Girl" was written for no
particular reason at all, other than boredom one weekend. "Hot and
Cold" was a group effort that I produced. It was done for a gospel
singer, but aimed at a pop market some ten years ago. Finally, "Dream
Lover" was 2003's melody festival failure. I currently do all of my
sound and music work using Reason, MOTU Digital Performer, Cubase or
Deck on a dual processor Mac G4. I'm available for 24-track location
recording.

Writing

Early in my teens, I had some of my poetry published in the newspaper
and was praised for my fiction. However, I chose to express my
writing ability with song lyrics. Recently, I got back to fiction
when I was asked to write an erotic coming of age film script for
David Hamilton, "Water Dance" . Although the movie never received
financing, it rekindled my interest in writing. Since then, I've
written a first draft of a movie based on J. M. Barrie's work
entitled "Katrina in Everland". I did a short book as well. I've done
a few short screen plays also: "An American in Sweden" was done in
Swedish and English.
